Westlake Estates is a community with a dedication to maintaining natures beauty and protecting the investment we have all made by protecting both natural beauty and home design. Our architectural guidelines ensure that all homes contribute to the relaxed, “craftsman” look and feel of our community and complement the graceful simplicity found in the abundant natural beauty that surrounds us.
Our vision is a community where each home compliments the overall effect created by nature and our homes. The estates built to date show that our guidelines have produced beautiful results.
You are free to select the home design and builder of your choice (even if it’s you) but it must comply with the Westlake Estates Architectural Controls and Restrictive Covenant (available for download here). This means the site plan and elevations must be approved by the Westlake Estates Homeowners Association Building Plan Committee. A simple form is under development for your submission and our timely approval. The Committee is an appointed group of 3 HOA Board Members with delegates in case of conflict of interest or absence. Our goal is a 7 day turnaround timeframe. The County of Ponoka will require this approval prior to issuing a development permit.
So where do you start:
- Connect with your HOA by our Contact Us form and we will connect you to your neighbours regarding the view controls.
- Fill out the information in our Building Approval form (see below).
- After downloading the form and send to the HOA for approval.
- After approval, apply at the County of Ponoka for your development permit.
