Westlake Estates is an acreage community a close walk from the shores of Gull Lake, Alberta. Nearby Parkland Beach boasts clear water, sandy beaches, and parks for the kids. This is a large lake in Central Alberta with over 50 kilometers of shoreline and a surface area of 80 square kilometers. County development controls have restricted Gull Lake's development to about 25% of the shoreline, so life is much quieter compared to other lake communities. Located in Central Alberta's parkland area with large amounts of native forest cover and postcard worthy countryside. Wildlife sanctuaries and protected nature reserves are all close-by for those wanting to take in the beauty of our natural space.
Compared to the well-known Sylvan Lake, due to the County controls, there is more room and peace to do as you please. Spring and stream fed, Gull Lake has a stabilization system to pump water from the Blindman River to maintain its level. Gull Lake offers natural beauty and recreation opportunities that are unmatched - see one sunset on the lake and we are sure you will agree!
Nearby are the full-service communities of Ponoka, Rimbey, Lacombe, Bentley, and Red Deer where festivals, rodeos, shopping, dining, and entertainment options are as endless as the summer nights. The region's climate offers hot summers and cozy winters.
